Today’s micropoem is an echo of many sentiments – sentiments of those that silently overcome many challenges just to get where others land by the life they were born into to those that simply may be feeling a little overlooked despite their efforts. It’s only the middle of the work week – go and say something nice to someone to help them over the hump with a smile.
With all the beauty that surrounds
A petaled face
It’s easier to bless the flower in the garden
Than the weed in the sidewalk,
Which shares its life all the same,
Despite the scratch of concrete cracks and
Beat of trodden feet.
