As I Recall [a poetic]

I see our dates
In addresses and license plates
Time we shared
Stamped reminders into the world
The code of us
I see orange red flowers in trees
Spicy blue drinks
Rocks like dinosaur poop
And hear them lilt “la-di-da”
Simple things
An album of memories and emotion for me
And I wonder if you see the messages in them
Seven nineteen
Twelve oh seven
Flowers the colour of Haiti
Glasses filled with our first kiss
The echoing ache of laughing so fully
I wonder if I will ever be the one you loved entirely
Or if I will be one of our many inside notes
An ellipsis
Speaking so much
Ten-ten-ten
Infinite space between one many men you were
And who you will be when this page turns
While my mind spins like those three orbs
Filling the blank page
With eternity
Over
and
over
