a haikai (hokku, haiku) and a brief lesson

A haikai is a series of haiku, set off on the theme of the opening haiku, the hokku.

How quick and easy that was.

(This reminder)

(1.)

Background of my phone,
two lovers… he kisses her,
she beams total joy.

(2.)

Forever tender;
Always, they are suspended
in love you can’t touch.

(3.)

The day before tears:
She didn’t know but bliss, he
couldn’t help love her.

(4.)

How magic is time
When you put it in a cloud…
These two don’t know hurt.

(5.)

This, I awake to,
our foundation – not lost, we
are testimony.
